How to Jailbreak Your iPhone Using Spirit (Windows & Mac) [3.1.2, 3.1.3]

These are instructions on how to perform an untethered jailbreak on your iPhone using the Spirit Jailbreak and Windows & Max.
To follow these instructions you must be using an activated device not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
Any version of iTunes 9 til 9.1.1 will work.
- Download the Spirit Jailbreak from below and save it to your desktop.
- Double click the Spirit application on your desktop to launch it , *Important: If you have Windows 7 you may need to run Spirit in compatibility mode for Windows 98. Before launching right click Spirit.exe and select Properties from the contextual menu. Then from the Compatibility tab select Windows 98 from the Compatibility Mode dropdown. Click Apply then Ok
- Connect your iPhone and press the Jailbreak button.
- The Spirit app will then let you know the jailbreak is complete.
Your iPhone will reboot and show you progress indicator. Once this finishes your iPhone will be jailbroken with Cydia installed!

After releasing an update to iTunes (version 9.0.3) yesterday, Apple today has announced the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch. One thing which is to be noted here is that this isn’t the same version which runs on the newly released Apple iPad (OS 3.2). If you currently rely on your unlock for iPhone 3G and 3GS, we highly recommend you not to upgrade to this new iPhone OS 3.1.3 unless and until new tools are made available from the likes of George Hotz and the infamous iPhone DevTeam. Upgrading to iPhone OS 3.1.3 now may result in your device getting potentially locked forever.

By-Pass for your iphone if stuck on the USB mode
If you have the iphone from after 41 weeks after unlocked or Jailbreak, it will stuck on this mode look like the picture on the left, if you turned off your phone, then it will happen. So you need to download this program to Bypass the logo. you will still save your information that save on the phone.
1.Connect your phone to the USB cable
2.Click the program to run that's all

How to find your iPhone version
1) If your iPhone is already activated, you can find the version in Settings - General - About, along with the modem version.
2) If your iPhone is not activated you must do the following to find it
- On the Activation Screen, slide to the Emergency Screen.
- Type *#307# and hit Call, the phone will start ringing and display 1 Calling.
- Delete all the numbers from the top right of the screen and Call the number 0.
- Press Answer, Hold and then Decline.
- Go to Contacts and create a contact. In the URL field type prefs://1f and save it.
- Click on the contact you created and press the prefs://1f url and you can now go to Settings - General - About to find your iPhone version.
